Part 75 Petition Responses

The designated representative for a unit subject to 40 CFR Part 75 may submit a petition to the Administrator requesting that the Administrator exercise his or her discretion to approve an alternative to any requirement prescribed in Part 75 or incorporated by reference in this part. Any such petitions must be submitted in accordance with §75.66. The document, Preparing a Part 75 Petition, outlines responses to common questions about submitting a complete petition that will facilitate the Agency's review and response. EPA's responses (in chronological order) to Part 75 petitions since 2001 are posted below.

Petition Responses

Note that the actual, signed and dated response sent to the designated representative constitutes the EPA’s official response and governs. When a response is posted below, EPA is not aware of any differences between the posted response and the actual, signed and dated response. EPA intends, and believes, that such differences - if any - will be minor and non substantive. If you have questions about a response or would like a copy of any available signed and dated response, please contact the Emissions Monitoring Contact who covers the EPA Region where the unit addressed in the petition response is located.
