The designated representative for a unit subject to 40 CFR Part 75 may submit a petition to the Administrator requesting that the Administrator exercise his or her discretion to approve an alternative to any requirement prescribed in Part 75 or incorporated by reference in this part. Any such petitions must be submitted in accordance with §75.66. The document, Preparing a Part 75 Petition, outlines responses to common questions about submitting a complete petition that will facilitate the Agency's review and response.
