Superfund Site Innovative Reuse Categories: Tribal Lands/Native American Interests
Superfund sites are located on tribal lands as well as in all states and territories. EPA works closely with tribes on Superfund cleanups, supporting the continued use and reuse of lands for tribal purposes. Strengthening EPA’s tribal consultation process is a top priority for the Agency, and central to the success of the national environmental protection program.
