Urban Waters Partnership

Urban Waters Federal Partnership National Training Workshop

In December 2014, over 150 people from federal agencies, community organizations, state and local government, universities and non-governmental organizations, associations and businesses met for 2½ days to learn from the Urban Waters Federal Partnership's work to date and to chart the course for the future. The result was an engaging and productive meeting about how we can use the nation's urban waters to revitalize distressed and underserved communities.

Workshop Goals

This workshop was responsive to the needs expressed by partnership locations and member agencies across partnership, throughout the planning process. The workshop goals identified are for participants to:

  1. Learn about new opportunities and resources to accelerate work on the ground;
  2. Chart the course for the future of our work together so that it will be informed by experience and learning at partnership locations; and
  3. Strengthen our engagement of underserved communities as an integral part of our work.

The agenda for the workshop is included below, which was robust with dynamic speakers and presentations.  Below the agenda are several presentations.
